Would you wear a Motorcycle Helmet when riding a motorcycle when it is 93 degrees out &100 degree heat index?
Im debating on whether to ride in a charitable poker run in the morning and don’t know if I want to risk my daughter and I’s safety going in this heat. It’s supposed to be sunny and like 85 around 10 am and humid. I always wear a helmet by the way. What do you think? My helmet is a red 3/4 helmet with face sheild and my daughters is silver full faced
Ok, let me make this clear. :-} I always wear a helmet and am debating on whether to go on the poker run in the morning with it being so hot.
Yes, I would wear a helmet if the temps were 100 degrees.
I never ride my motorcycle or bicycle without a helmet. Ever!
As to your daughter’s ability to cope with heat while on the back of your bike in extreme heat, I would say keep your daughter at home. If the run is 100 miles, ride will take about 2-1/2 hours. Long time to be coping with heat even if you can bring a small cooler with water on your bike to help keep your daughter hydrated. There will be many more poker runs.
Good Luck
